SUSTAINABILITY IS IN OUR DNA

For us, quality and sustainability are inseparable promises. We stand behind both unreservedly because we believe that premium wood can only be defined as wood produced sustainably.

This belief guides our meticulous wood selection and ensures that most of our product range comes from sustainably managed forests worldwide.

Our mission is to act as an international ambassador for sustainable wood and to pioneer new methods for sustainable construction across the industry.

EUDR Compliant

Our forest harvesting operations are fully compliant with the EU Deforestation-free Regulation (EUDR). All timber is sourced from lands free of deforestation and forest degradation from 31 December 2020, adhering to the regulation’s strict, time-bound criteria.

We ensure full legality in all harvesting practices, complying with national forestry laws, land use regulations, and local community rights in production regions.

Our end-to-end supply chain features precise geolocation tracing, rigorous due diligence, and five-year record retention, fully meeting EUDR’s stringent traceability requirements.

Sustainable forest management is integrated into every step, supported by third-party verified processes to guarantee zero deforestation. Committed to the EU’s green objectives, we deliver legal, traceable, and environmentally responsible timber products, driving sustainable forestry development and protecting biodiversity across our operations.

PEFC Certified  Wood Company

Valbofor is PEFC-certified, a testament to our unwavering commitment to sustainable forestry. Established in 1999, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) has become the world’s largest certification system, setting the global benchmark for verified sustainable forest management.

PEFC promotes forest management that is environmentally responsible, economically viable, and socially beneficial, enforced through a rigorous framework of mandatory standards. Compliance is independently audited, with the system built on collaboration among environmental groups, industry stakeholders, academia, consumers, and governments. At its core, PEFC’s work is guided by transparency, open dialogue, consensus-building, regular evaluation, and continuous improvement.

When you choose a timber product bearing the PEFC label, you can be confident it is sourced from forests managed to the highest sustainable standards—supporting responsible forestry worldwide.
